Goals
After this tutorial you will be able to:
- Record the match from start to finish
- Keep the video for the right amount of time
- Avoid the mistakes that invalidate proof
If there's a dispute, the main proof is the full, uncut video. Always record: once the problem happens, you can't go back.
How to record
- 1
Choose a recorder
It can be whatever you already use, such as OBS, NVIDIA App or Windows Game Bar.
- 2
Start before the match
Start recording before you enter the lobby.
- 3
Record until the end
Only stop after the result is accepted and the match is closed.
- 4
Keep the file
Keep the video until you're sure the match won't be disputed.
Before you start
Check that you have free disk space.
Do a short test to make sure sound and image are being recorded.
Keep the game and the moment of the problem visible in the video.
If the case involves Discord
For conversations and messages, recording has its own rules: use the desktop app and show it being restarted before displaying the content.
